600 WINS - COACH DENNIS TUCCI
On Tuesday night, the Malvern Hornets Boys Basketball Team went on the road and defeated Maysville 75-64 to improve to 9-0 on the season. Not only did that victory end Maysville’s 18 game home winning streak, but it also was career win #600 for Hornets Head Basketball Coach, Dennis Tucci.
Coach Tucci, in his 41st season, has a career record of 600-350. His record at Malvern is a remarkable 506-220 in 31 seasons, including 5 IVC titles, 20 Sectional titles, including 17 straight, and 6 District titles.
Last year, Coach Tucci won the Paul Walker Award, presented annually by the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association to an active coach who has made significant contributions to high school basketball, and most importantly to us, Malvern High School.
A new banner has been placed in the southeast corner of the gym, and Brown Local Schools Superintendent, Mark Scott, presented Coach Tucci with a plaque in honor of his 600 career victories.
Congratulations to Malvern Head Boys Basketball Coach, Dennis Tucci.
