Congratulations to high school wrestlers this past Saturday at Sectionals. Dalton Pennington placed 4th; Jacob Rubins placed 4th; and Tyson Clear won his 4th straight sectional title. All three will continue onto Districts at Coshocton this weekend. Good luck to our varsity boys basketball team tonight against Monroe Central at Harrison High School. Malvern High School-Junior ACT Test Day- Tuesday, February 25th The ACT State-Funded Test will be administered to all Juniors on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025. Students will test at the First Christian Church of Malvern (4046 Coral Rd. NW). For those that ride a bus to school, there will be a bus that will take students over to the church after morning drop off. Students who drive to school need to arrive at the church by 7:30am. If your student opted out of taking the ACT, they will report to school and go-about their school day as usual. They do not need to report to the church, this is for students who are testing, only. Students should bring an ID and pencil. Calculators will be provided. Cell phones and smart watches are not permitted in the testing area. There will be a bin to place these items if they are brought in, until testing is complete. When students are finished, they are done for the day and will not need to return to the school. Please make arrangements to pick your student up at the church around 11:30 am. There will be no bus to take them back to the school. If there are any transportation conflicts, please reach out to the school prior to the test day. Students and parents are encouraged to explore free resources to prepare for testing at ACT Academy (academy.act.org). Malvern Elementary Earns State Momentum Award Malvern Elementary School has been recognized with the Momentum Award by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for outstanding academic achievement during the 2023-2024 school year. This prestigious honor is awarded to schools that increase their Performance Index by three or more points while achieving a Value-Added rating of four or more stars. The Momentum Award is a testament to Malvern Elementary’s commitment to excellence, both for its students and the Malvern community. The school demonstrated significant improvements in Math, Reading, and Science, culminating in a four-star overall rating on the most recent state report card. Malvern Elementary Principal Danielle Hawk expressed her pride in the students and staff, stating: "I am very proud of our students and staff at Malvern Elementary.
