Exciting News for Brown Local School District Families for School Meals.
Brown Local Schools will once again participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 2025-2026 school year. Eligibility for this program is determined annually.
Under this option, all children in Brown Local Schools can receive breakfast and lunch at no charge for the entire school year. Each student will be permitted to receive one free breakfast and lunch at no cost each day. Students can purchase additional lunch items and a la carte items if funds are available in the student's account.

Elementary school students in grades 1-5 will begin school Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Elementary students arriving by car should enter from Coral Rd. and follow the drive to the back of the building. Students must exit their vehicle at the crosswalk and walk to door C2. Drivers should exit the parking lot after dropping off children; drivers should not park in the driveway. Monitors will be out back at 8:05 AM. Doors will lock at 8:20 AM. After 8:20 AM, the student must be signed in tardy by an adult at the elementary office at door A5.
Elementary students should only be dropped off or picked up in the front of the building if they are signed in late or signed out early. All yellow curbs must be clear in case of an emergency. Please park in a visitor parking spot.
Elementary students riding home in cars will be dismissed at 3:15 PM to the back of the building at door C2. Elementary students picked up as car riders at the end of the day require car passes issued in the elementary office. Parents should visit the office before the first day of school to receive a pass for their car rider. Each student will receive a student car rider identification card with an ID number.

The school doors will open at 8:05 AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:20 AM. Car riders are dismissed at 3:15 PM, and bus riders are dismissed at 3:20 PM.

Welcome Back, Hornets!
It is with great excitement that I welcome everyone back for the 2025–2026 school year. What an incredible time to be a Malvern Hornet!
This year marks a major milestone for Brown Local Schools as we officially open our new Wellness Center and Malvern Athletic Center. These state-of-the-art facilities will provide students, staff, and community access to in-person Aultman Health Services, a Community Fitness Center at no charge, and a variety of other wellness resources. They will also enhance our academic and athletic programs and serve as dynamic spaces for student activities and community events. This is a key step forward in our mission to partner with the community in developing and supporting the whole child for lifelong success.
At Brown Local Schools, student safety, academic excellence, fine arts, extracurricular engagement, and social-emotional growth remain at the forefront of everything we do. We are committed to creating meaningful opportunities that help every child thrive.
After serving as the elementary principal for the past six years, I am truly humbled and honored to now lead our district as superintendent. It is a privilege to continue serving this remarkable community and to help guide Brown Local Schools into this exciting new chapter. "It is a Great Day to be a Malvern Hornet!"
