Clearview Golf Course in East Canton is looking for students, at least 16 years old, who would like the opportunity to work at a golf course and earn money for the summer. The work is outdoors maintenance work keeping the beauty of the landscape. Jobs entail mowing,weed eating, raking sand bunkers, fixing irrigation lines, planting and maintaining flower beds and all necessary work on a golf course. Perks include free golf and some free golf lessons. Reminder any girl interested in playing basketball next season grades 7th-12th open gym is 4:15pm to 5:15pm today: TONIGHT at 7:00 pm - Spring Sports Banquet - all high school spring sports athletes and guests are encouraged to attend. Today for lunch: Rotini pasta with meat sauce, chicken alfredo and broccoli with a twist, market chef salad and other delicious fruit and veggie items.

Christy Yeagley Named Next Principal of Malvern Elementary School At its May 20, 2025, meeting, the Brown Local Board of Education unanimously approved hiring Christy Yeagley as the next Principal of Malvern Elementary School. Mrs. Yeagley brings 19 years of outstanding teaching and leadership experience to her new role and is currently a second-grade teacher at Minerva Elementary School. Mrs. Yeagley was recently recognized as the Minerva Local School District Teacher of the Year. She is the Lead Language Arts and ACE Math Lead Teacher at Minerva Elementary. She has presented instructional strategies and best practices at the school, district, and county levels. A 2004 graduate of Mount Union University, Mrs. Yeagley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the American College of Education. Mrs. Yeagley will officially assume her duties as principal on August 1, 2025, following the transition of current principal Danielle Hawk into her new role as Superintendent of Brown Local Schools. Current Malvern Elementary Principal and Future Superintendent Danielle Hawk shared her support for Mrs. Yeagley: “Mrs. Yeagley is an impressive educational leader and will be a great fit at Malvern Elementary. Her passion for learning and for students will help the school thrive under her guidance. She is an enthusiastic and dynamic leader, and we are very excited to welcome her to the Malvern family.” Mrs. Yeagley also expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the new role: “I want to thank the Brown Local Board of Education and the selection committee for this great opportunity. Malvern Elementary is an amazing school, and I am very excited to get started and build relationships with everyone. Go Hornets!” Christy Yeagley lives in Minerva with her husband, Brett, and their daughter, Callie.

This marks the first-ever title for the boys and the first title for the girls since the 1980s. What an amazing group of athletes—your hard work, heart, and determination made history. Please return all library books by Friday, May 16th. Today all 10th grade students will be taking a field trip to Kent State Stark campus. Good luck to our choir members at tonight’s choir concert. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm. Anyone interested in running Cross Country next fall - there will be a meeting TODAY at 1:30 pm - during 8th period with Coach Maher. We will make an announcement when he arrives at the school. Any 6th or 7th grader interested in playing basketball next season, there will be a meeting tomorrow (Thursday) during your lunch. Good luck to our softball team tonight in district tournaments at Bridgeport. Game time is 5:00 pm. The team will leave today from the school at 11:15 am.
