QUOTE OF THE DAY: “If it makes you happy, it’s never a waste of time.” A representative of Malone University will be here TODAY to visit with any junior or senior interested in attending or receiving more information about Malone University. If you plan on being part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program this year please turn your packets in as soon as possible. Sarah will be here Friday to pick them all up. If you need an extra packet, please see Ms. Bare. Attention All High School Students: are you interested in planning school dances and events? Do you like to spread school spirit and create new school traditions? Do you want to be a voice for the students of Malvern High School? Then the Student Council is for you!! All high school students are welcome to join!! Our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday, September 7 during 5B in Mrs. Spencer's room - Room 127. See you there!! Final Forms need to be completed ASAP. We have several field trips lined up and we want all students to be able to participate. If Final Forms are not completed, then you will not be able to participate in field trips, etc. Any questions, please see your teacher or the office. Final Forms sent e-mails to all parents and students in Grades 6 through 12. If you would like to participate in the Weekend Backpack Program please come pick up a form in the office. All forms must be filled out and turned back in to the office. If you have questions regarding the Weekend Backpack Program please see Mrs. Dorr. The Malvern Hornets Golf Team defeated the TCC Saints to move their record to 7-2! Senior Ethan Bush fired a 41 while Tyler Pelle hoisted a career low 42. Sophomore Cameron Good and Freshman Cooper Kiehl both carded 47’s to secure the third victory of the week for the Hornets.

The Malvern Hornets earned their 6th victory of the season by defeating the Minerva Lions 176-191. The win brings their record to 6-2. Cameron Good-42, Cooper Kiehl-43, Lauren Brown- 44, Tyler Pelle l- 47. Go Hornets!

If you would like to participate in the Weekend Backpack Program please come pick up a form in the office. All forms must be filled out and turned back in to the office. If you have questions regarding the Weekend Backpack Program please see Mrs. Dorr. Foreign Culture Club will meet TODAY - 5th period - to discuss events and club officers. If you want to be an officer, please come to the meeting in Miss Laser's room, room 238. Foreign Culture Club is open to all high school students. Show Choir will begin this Tuesday, September 5th after school from 2:30 until 4:00 in the choir room for grades 7-12. Please stop by to get a letter from Mr. Skidmore!! The Malvern Hornets Golf Team improved to 5-2 as they defeated Newcomerstown 176 - 253. Leading the Hornets was Senior Ethan Bush and Junior Lauren Brown with a 40 and 43. Cameron Good shot a 46, while Freshman Cooper Kiehl came in with a 47 to round out the scoring.
