Summer Opportunities for Students

Many colleges and universities offer summer camps for a variety of subjects and interests on their campuses. These camps provide high school students hands-on experience and knowledge with small-group academic experiences, including labs, lectures, and off-site visits.  Some camps are for building leadership skills which students can use in their high school experiences and on into their future. The bonus of these residence camps is that the students will enjoy the life of a traditional college student by living in a small dorm, eating in the dining hall and experiencing the freedom (and responsibilities) of a young adult.

The following link has several summer program opportunities offered in Ohio. http://www.studenteducationprograms.com/ohioprograms.htm/

One program that is not listed in the link is the American Free Enterprise and Leadership Conference being held at the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, OH from June 13 - June 18. This is open to all high school students and offers the opportunity to earn two (2) semester college credits in ECON 10302. The cost is only $75.00 which includes tuition, room and board!!

Please see Mrs. Palleschi in room 116 or call 330-863-1355x230 for information on any of these opportunities.
