THERE WILL BE A FALL HOMECOMING PEP RALLY THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
All students - because the janitorial staff has been cleaning up a large amount of gum in our building, gum is no longer permitted here at school. Students will be reminded by staff and ask to dispose of it if necessary. Please help to keep our building clean!!
HIGH SCHOOL yearbooks are in…..you may pick yours up here at school. Also, if would like to purchase a yearbook, the cost is $55.00.
Attention all 7th/8th grade students: the walk-a-thon for the Washington DC trip is THIS Friday (September 19th) beginning at 3:00p.m. at the Village Park, and it will conclude at 5:00p.m. You must bring your pledge form with at least $20 in sponsors to participate, and you must have a parent pick you up at 5:00p.m. Please see Mrs. Carter with questions.
JUNIORS and/or SENIORS – College Night with Mrs. Billet will be here NEXT Wednesday evening, September 24th in the high school library, beginning at 6:00 pm. Sign up in the office if you plan to attend this important college meeting.
JUNIORS and SENIORS – College night at Sandy Valley High School is Thursday, October 2, beginning at 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Our juniors and seniors and parents are invited to attend this event. Parking is free and you are to park in front of the football stadium.
Anyone interested in Ski / Snowboard Club should plan to attend the 2015 Kick-Off Meeting NEXT Thursday, September 25th at 6:00 in the school library. Bring your friends and parents to hear about the exciting changes that are taking place for the upcoming season. If you have questions in the meantime, please see Alex Ravoula.
ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL LADIES!!! On October 23rd, the yearbook staff will be hosting the annual Powder Puff Flag Football game. If you are interested in participating, please see either your English teacher or Mrs. Marinucci for a permission slip. The cost to participate is $3.00.
Homecoming tickets will be available for sale THIS week from Miss Townsend in the gym at 7:20am, during lunch, or at 2:25pm. The tickets are $5 and will be on sale all week and also at the door. Picture forms are in the office as well as out-of-school guest forms. Please don't forget to turn them in by Sept. 18th.
Fall homecoming is THIS Friday, September 19th. The dance will be Saturday, September 20th. The dance begins at 7:30 until 10:00 pm, with pictures being taken beginning at 6:30 pm. All students are expected to stay from 7:30-10pm with no early leaving due to liability.
The Queen’s party is AFTER the homecoming dance this Saturday night beginning at 10:30 until 12:30 am – at The Minerva Bowling Alley. All high school students are welcome to attend.
The out of school guest forms for the fall homecoming dance are now ready in the high school office.

If anyone is interested in a Volley For The Cure t-shirt for this year's game (Oct 2nd against Sandy Valley) please see Mrs. Shadle to order and pay for your shirt. Deadline is Monday September 22nd. The shirts are $10 each. They will be gray with a pink logo.
Attention Students: the Student Activities Committee will be selling Game Day face tattoos for $1 each throughout the season. There are Hornet tattoos, Mean Green tattoos, and Fear the Sting tattoos. If you would like to purchase a face tattoo, you can do so by seeing one of the SAC members. Game Day tattoos may also be worn to school on Fridays to support our teams! Get yours today!
The Malvern Wrestling team is selling drawstring bags for $5 each.
We are also selling silicone "Malvern Hornets" wristbands (2 for $3).
All proceeds go to the Malvern Wrestling program.
Adams Driving School is once again conducting driver’s education classes beginning October 7th. Please see the flyer in the office for more information.
The Excellence committee is selling Hershey candy bars to help raise money for field trips, enrichment activities, and rewards for high achievement. Please see Mrs. Maffett, Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Marinucci, or Mrs. Kress.
